Expectations

  • Students are not allowed to be on their phones for any reason other than referencing images for drawing or listening to music.

  • Students know the expectations of the class: bring your supplies, be respectful, don't be on your phone.

  • Students should not be getting any supplies that are not already out. DO NOT GRAB THEM SUPPLIES THAT ARE NOT OUT.

  • Students may not take any supplies out of the room.

  • To get students attention, I count down from "3...2...1..." and students quiet down in that time.

Daily Routine

  •  You meet with Jin Yoshida and Carrie McCoy for 1st period in room B-19. If you need help, go to Carrie McCoy, in B-19.

  • If you need to write you name on the chalk board markers and chalk are hidden in my desk in the bottom, right hand drawer.

  • One my desk, there is a a folder with emergency sub materials incase I or the front office has not already given them too you.

  • In the Filing cabinet, next to my desk, the top drawer, labeled "Memes".

  • The "Different Memes" drawer has lesson plans and activities for the AP Art History Class

  • The "Dead Hopes and Dreams" drawer has lesson plans for Art One.

  • The "Human Bodies" Drawer has food for you and students in need. 

  • We do not have duties to perform. 

Camp Fire

Fire Drills

  • When a fire drill is announced, students will orderly line up and proceed out the entrance door

  • Students will exit out the back door of the classroom and then out the back patio to the parking lot.  

  • Students will line up outside, next to staff cars and wait for Ms. Chapapas to take attendance

  • After attendance is taken, if any students are missing, Ms. Chapapas holds up a red card. If all students are present, Ms.Chapapas holds up a green card. 

  • Students can safely return to class after the third bell. 

Police Cars

Lockdowns

  • In the case of a lockdown,LCHS follows ALICE lockdown procedures

  • First, the intercom will announce why a lockdown is taking place. 

    • Students are expected to rush to the nearest room. 

    • Shelter in place occurs first: You may continue teaching during this time, only lock the door. 

  • When lockdown is announced,students will help push tables in front of the entrances

  • Students will arm themselves with heavy objects from the room and prepare in case of an entrance

    • You need to position the students in the  shared closet or near the ground, under the windows. Those are ​the areas safest from gun fire. 

  • When the intercom announces that the lockdown has ended, class will return to normal.

Attendance

  • If the front office has forgotten to give you attendance charts, you can locate them in the filing cabinet next to my desk, in the drawer labeled "memes", in the emergency sub folder

  • Take attendance immediately at the start of class.

    • Here at LCHS we take attendance using Syngergy

    • Students who are tardy should be marked with a T​

    • Students who are absent should be marked with an ABS
